And dailymumrecipes is my little corner of the internet!
I launched dailymumrecipes back in 2016 after I quit my full‑time marketing job to spend more time with my two toddlers. The first post was a 15‑minute chicken‑and‑rice bowl I whipped up while juggling a diaper change, and I posted it straight from my kitchen table. Within a year the site was pulling in about 5,000 unique visitors a month, and by 2020 that number had swelled to 50,000. In March 2023 I rolled out a weekly newsletter that now reaches 12,300 subscribers who love a quick, kid‑friendly recipe in their inbox every Thursday.
Over the past eight years the blog has turned into a small community. I started filming short recipe videos in 2019, and those clips now account for half of the traffic on the site. In 2022 I introduced printable PDF recipe cards, and we’ve sold over 4,000 of them to families who want a tidy kitchen binder. Instagram followers grew to 3,200, and in September 2022 the blog won the “Best Family Food Blog” award from the Home Cook’s Guild. I’m still adding new features—like a seasonal produce guide that launched in April 2024—because I love giving busy parents fresh ideas.
I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband, Marco, and our two kids, Lily (7) and Noah (4). Our weekends usually start at the local farmer’s market where I hunt for heirloom tomatoes and fresh herbs. When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m either tending to our backyard garden or chasing after the kids at the park. My favorite things are homemade gnocchi, a good cup of black coffee, and the sound of my kids laughing while they help me stir the sauce. That simple, messy joy is what I try to capture on dailymumrecipes every day.
